GraysOnline Customer’s Q&A
GraysOnline FAQs
About Graysonline.com Payment Method?
"Graysonline.com" offers two main payment methods: credit card and bank transfer. For transactions exceeding $5000, the option of bank transfer is available. Otherwise, payment is made via credit card. It's important to note that a credit card must be registered on the site before bidding can proceed. This is a standard procedure that has been in place for several years. Please be aware that a 20% fee is added on top of the winning bid. If the total invoice value is more than $5k, there is an option of bank transfer, or payment can be made with a credit card for an additional 3%. If the desired item is not won or payment details are not provided, no payment will be processed. It's crucial to read and understand the terms and conditions before participating in any auction on "Graysonline.com".
About Graysonline.com Prices and Cost?
Graysonline.com is an online auction site that hosts thousands of auctions daily on a wide range of items. The site offers two bidding options: auto and manual. The auto bid system places bids automatically, in increments according to other bids, which can cause item prices to escalate quickly. Manual bidding is also an option. Items are generally cheap until the last day of the auction, where prices can increase significantly. It's important to note that the final cost of an item includes not only the winning bid but also additional fees. These can include a $30 late payment fee, the buyer's premium, the loss in value if they resell at a subsequent auction for a lower price, and an additional 10% of the total to cover restocking and admin costs. Therefore, the final cost can be significantly higher than the winning bid. It's recommended to read the user agreement thoroughly before bidding. If the item is not paid for, the site has the right to pursue the bidder for these costs. However, whether or not they actually pursue the bidder is up to them. It's always a good idea to do thorough research and understand the real-world item value before placing a bid.
About Graysonline.com Popular Products and Services?
Graysonline.com is an online auction site that hosts thousands of auctions daily. The site offers a wide range of products and services. Some of the popular categories include Mining, Construction & Agriculture, Manufacturing & Engineering, Catering, Hospitality & Gyms, Warehousing & Forklifts, Automotive, Bikes, Trucks, Marine & Caravans, Wine, Home, Garden & Appliances, Computers, TV & Electronics, and Jewellery & Watches. These categories feature a mix of ex-lease, ex-government, civil contractors, closure or financier repossessions, new factory surplus, refurbished items, seconds, and retail returns. The site also offers two bidding options, auto and manual. However, it's important to inspect the goods before bidding to ensure a positive experience. Despite its popularity, some customers have expressed dissatisfaction with their purchases and customer service.
Graysonline.com Return Policy?
GraysOnline has a return policy that applies to items marked as "returns" and sold "as is". Some "Buy it Now" items also offer "Change of Mind" where the item can be returned. However, the return policy for GraysOnline differs from that of GraysOutlet. The GraysOutlet Returns Policy does not apply to any of their products as GraysOutlet has now merged with oo.com.au.
In terms of shipping, GraysOnline has a Per Item Fee and a Shipping and Packing fee. This fee is separate from the Buyers Premium and is only seen when a bid is made or when clicking on the Shipping Calculator. It's important to note that these fees are added to the cost of the item.
Please note that these policies may vary and it's always best to check the latest information on the GraysOnline website.
What are the payment options on Graysonline.com?
Graysonline.com accepts PayPal and all major credit cards - Visa, Mastercard, Diners and American Express for payment of Sale and Buy Now invoices. An automated payment system is used to ensure a secure and fast service for customers. For invoices under $10,000, payment is taken from the nominated payment method within 24 hours of the sale closing. For invoices over $10,000, payment is to be made by direct deposit within two days of the sale closing. If the total cost of a purchase exceeds $10,000 in the Buy Now section, only 2% of the total is charged at checkout, with the balance payable via direct deposit. For invoices over $250,000, a maximum of $10,000 is charged as a deposit, with the balance payable via direct deposit. If payment is not received, the sale may be cancelled, and a cancellation fee of $100 charged for invoice amounts over $1000.
How do I calculate shipping costs on GraysOnline?
On GraysOnline, the shipping cost is calculated using a tool available on their website. This tool calculates the cost to deliver items to a nominated postcode and includes handling, packaging, and insurance. To view all freight charges before bidding on a particular item, simply click on the Truck symbol. Freight to your postcode will then be broken down into 'shipment rate' and 'per item rate'. Freight is calculated by adding the 'shipment rate' and then the 'item rate'. The shipment rate is the base rate depending on the zone of destination - metro/regional and country. The per item rate depends on the weight and size of the item. To calculate freight for 1 item: Shipment rate + item rate = total cost. To calculate freight for multiple units from the same sale: Shipment rate + (item rate x multiples of the units) = total cost. Please note that items purchased from different sales are unable to be consolidated. Certain items, such as wine, high value jewellery, large palletised items, supermarket lines and certain artworks, are also unable to be consolidated. Only Buy Now items marked "Buy More & Save" are able to be consolidated. Additionally, Grays has introduced a new fee (called a ‘Shipping & Handling Fee’) for all invoices produced that covers their 'shipping & handling' related costs associated with the item sold. The fee will calculate when you enter the confirm bid stage of the bidding process or buy confirmation page for ‘buy now’ items. The fee is 1% of the total invoice fee or $1 for invoices less than $100 (GST applicable pending Auction setup). Note, this fee is subject to change and may be reviewed by the business.
